Jean-Aimé Mougenot

    Jean-Aimé Mougenot joined the SNCF in 1980 as a train driver in the Midi-Pyrénées region, where he gained solid experience of the railway world and in-depth knowledge of the local area.

    Director of the SNCF Traction de l'Oise and Paris Nord establishments from 1994 to 2002, he was then appointed head of driver work organization, before becoming Director of Human Resources for the SNCF's driving business in 2004.

    His career continued at TER, where, from 2011 to 2013, he held the position of SNCF TER Picardie Regional Director. From 2014 to 2016, he was deputy director of TER France.

    In 2016, he became director of the TER Sud-Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region for SNCF Voyageurs. In this capacity, he enabled the signing of a new operating agreement in January 2019, and prepared the response to the first calls for tender launched by the Southern Region to put the operation of the regional network out to tender. In 2017, he also launched a transformation plan that is delivering visible results in terms of service quality.

    Since 2021, he has been Deputy TER Director for SNCF Voyageurs. In particular, he pilots the renewal of operating agreements with the 11 Organizing Authorities before the end-2023 deadline set by law, as well as the setting up of the first companies dedicated to operating the lots won by SNCF Voyageurs in the tenders launched by the Regions.
