A graduate of the École polytechnique and the Corps des mines engineering school, Xavier Ouin began his career at the Ministry of Defense, before moving on to the Ministry of Industry, where he headed the nuclear affairs department. He joined SNCF in 1998, holding various positions in regional management before being appointed Director of Industrial Production for the SNCF Infra branch. In this role, he oversees the production and industrial performance of maintenance and works on the national rail network. In 2014, Xavier Ouin took up the position of Managing Director of Equipment, where he is responsible for controlling the processes that contribute to the robustness and overall coordination of operations across the SNCF Mobilités epic. In addition, he is also President of the Masteris subsidiary, which markets rolling stock maintenance, engineering and renovation solutions in France and Europe. As of October 2017, he becomes Industrial Director of SNCF Mobilités, in addition to his position as Managing Director of SNCF Matériel.
